PATRICK’S STORY
Senior leadership at Synchrony build and nurture relationships with me.
I chose the Operations track because as an entrepreneurship student, I loved studying how to run a business and Operations is the engine that drives Synchrony. Because of the experience I gained in the BLP, I was able to hit the ground running in my first role following the BLP—an AVP in Customer Care Initiatives—where my goal is to make it as easy as possible for customers to utilize our digital service offerings.
Culture is especially important to me. As soon as I met the people from Synchrony, I knew they would accept me for who I am. Everyone lives the culture here—from sharing our skills in the community to being welcomed and included by the teams in each place I moved—and it starts at the top. Each of my experiences has been unique, but a common thread is that our leadership collaborated with me and invested in me every step of the way.
