BLP STORIES

RYAN’S STORY

The BLP is not just theoretical. It’s where you come to make things happen.

I’m passionate about business and working with people—that’s why I have two degrees in HR. For my career, I wanted to make an impact immediately and build a network of meaningful relationships—that’s why I chose Synchrony’s BLP.

From day one, I grew through hands-on work, engaging with leaders who guided my development, and stretching my leadership capabilities through a variety of experiences.

When I completed the BLP, I stepped right up to a new challenge—being an HR Manager in the Altamonte Springs, FL site and the leader of our Central Florida African American Network+.

Today, I can reach out to my network across all functional areas to make Synchrony’s people, and the business, stronger.

BLP STORIES

ALI’S STORY

The BLP has it all for me—from a breadth of experiences to a supportive network.

The HR track in the BLP was a clear choice for me—it aligned with all my priorities: a breadth of experiences early in my career, commitment to development, an accelerated path and being surrounded by people who care about me as a person.

The network I’ve built in the BLP is really like a second family. It all started when the Chief HR Officer called me to extend my internship offer, and the program has only exceeded my expectations since then. Within the program and across the business, everyone is willing to give me time on their calendar and provide mentorship. Today, I have a cohort of cross-functional colleagues that I can call day or night.

All of the diverse and challenging experiences—within HR and across our business—have put me in a great position to apply my passion post-BLP as an AVP in HR for the Data Analytics function and the Stamford site.
